"So You Want To Be Star?"

 A Musical Revue Workshop  

Calling all dedicated performers who want professional training and

the chance to show off your talent in two NYC music revue performances!

Start to gain the proper tools to sing with healthy technique! Have the knowledge to nurture and keep your voice for years to come! Say goodbye to stage fright! Know what to do when things go wrong while performing (WITHOUT letting the audience find out)! Be taught and directed by a professional. Perform in front of a NYC audience in a musical revue tailored to your strengths! Get a professionally filmed and edited DVD of your performance!

Seeking: Dedicated teens-young adults, all voice types, all ethnicities encouraged to apply.

Both Males and Females will be considered for solos, duets, trios and/or solos in small group numbers.

Two dress rehearsals (One also being a tech. rehearsal)

Two performances in NYC.

Those who are accepted and cast will have to pay a first time membership fee and help sell tickets for shows.

(Membership fees help pay for registration, rehearsal space, and reel quality DVD of the entire performance). 

Prepare two contrasting songs that show personality and range (ex: pop ballad-musical theatre up-tempo, musical theatre ballad-rock up-tempo…etc.) All genres welcome except opera and rap.

Note: You may only be able to sing one song at the audition. Please bring backing tracks or be self accompanied on guitar. There will NOT be a pianist provided. This is a Non-Union musical revue.

Classes begin early May or April and ends with the 2 NYC musical revues in late June/early July.

12 weeks; 16 classes, materials (hand outs, sheet music/instrumental tracks, blank cds/cases, DVD, Editing (time/quality), voice/performance technique and more!
